Daily
itinerary
Each day aboard Atmosphere is unique and different. The specific
programs are defined between 12 and 24 hours in advance, so
that fishing and wildlife expeditions can take into account
immediate climatic conditions and other relevant factors such
as cetacean location, fish behavior and tides among others.
Day by day, routes are studied and defined so there is no such
a specific track; we tailor it in order to provide the very
best.

SPA
After an intense day out in Patagonia, replenish your energy
at Atmosphere's spa, which includes a sauna and thalassotherapy
services.

Where
we are?
With over 250 million acres of impressive geography, Patagonia
still remains as one of the rare corners on the planet yet to
be discovered keeping its invaluable treasures and exquisite
biodiversity for the few who venture to discover and appreciate
them.
This voyage to the central-southern and southern areas of Chilean
Patagonia covers over 1111 kilometers/600 nautical miles from
the bay of Puerto Montt (latitude 41°S and longitude 72°W)
to the Taitao peninsula (latitude 46°S and longitude 73°W).
Our unique journey through the hidden Patagonia area enlightens
you with multiple streams, creeks, glaciers, volcanoes, jungle
forests, rivers, lagoons and lakes; endless and unexplored spots
yet to be discovered in this geological mosaic. This gifted
land offers a superb combination of blending glaciers, snowcapped
peaks, summits and volcanoes of the southern Andes with luxuriant
cold jungle forest. Click

Weather
Temperatures in Patagonia are not extremely low due to the influence
of the sea and the action of the winds; hence, the coldest months
are rarely below 4°C / 39°F. Conversely, on warmer days
thermometers may rise up to 20° C/ 68° F; an actual
proof of how changeable weather in Patagonia may be. With a
proper dressing, this fact should not get in the way of experiencing
the Nomadic adventure.

2) What
types of rods, reels and lines I should use?
Usually you will be fishing with rods in the 6 weight category.
We recommend you bring 2 rods at least. One 9 foot 4or 5 weight
to be used for lighter presentations with floating lines. One
9 foot 6 or 7 weight to be used withwith Teeny type lines 130
to 200. If we recommend only a single rod. 8 or 9 weight rods
may also be used occasionally with 300 to 400 teeny type lines
to reach deeper locations with larger fish.
If we recommend only a single rod it would definitely be a 6
weight. Quality single-action reels with a couple of spare spools
for all lines that hold about 100 yards 15-20-pound of backing
will get the job done. Weight forward lines are best for Patagonian
waters. See:
Fishing Facts.
3) What
species of fish will be typically captured?
Rainbow Trout
Brown Trout
Brook Trout
Steelhead Trout
Sea Run Brown Trout
Land & Locked Salmon
Chinook
4) How

your security, all cabins do include safe deposit boxes.

our web page.See:
Mothership Safety.
9) How
can I pay aboard the ship?
Payments can be made via bank transfer.
10) Is
there telephone service on board?
Nomads, has satellite telephones that have worldwide coverage.
They work with prepaid cards which can be purchased on board.
11) What
type of clothes should I take for fishing?
Weather in Patagonia is constantly changing. We recommend the
layered approach. More emphasis on wind and water rather than
on cold weather should be made. We suggest medium weight under
garments in November, December, middle of March and April as
they work the best. Light weight garments can be used during
the rest of the season, January, February and middle of March.
Some tips:
Gore-Tex
waders are recommended due to the amount of travel and movement.
One normal and one light rain jacket.
At least one wind proof jacket.
For jet boat and zodiac tours we recommend a pair of medium
to light gloves.
Polarized glasses are a must for protective eyewear bring an
extra pair.
Hats and or caps for sun protection and water repelling.
Comfortable wading boots (no spikes) with felt soles and gravel
guards are necessary. We discourage the use of waders with incorporated
boots as you will walk a fair amount in them.
Medium to heavy weight socks must accompany your outfit.
Sunscreen, lip cream and insect repellant will be required frequently
during periods of extended sunshine.
During January we recommend you abstain from using blue colored
clothes as in some areas there might be certain flies that are
specially attracted to this color.
Besides fishing, most of your activities will be on the ship.
Protocol calls for walking without the use of shoes while inside
the ship. You are always expected to wander around shoeless
and in your socks or with specially designed shoes with no soles
for these purposes, so keep this in mind when packing. A pair
of shoes with yachting soles (Sperry Top Siders type) is the
best to keep near the access to the deck if you wish to go outdoors
while still on the ship as these are slip proof and will keep
you safe in the event you encounter a wet deck.
Sometimes
you may leave the ship to go to shore and no specialized clothes
is necessary besides perhaps a water proof over pant and jacket
to provide minimum protection against wave splash or rain when
traveling in our tender.
12) Which
are the embarking and disembarking hours?
We embark on Saturdays, and the process is done between 11:00
AM and 16:00 PM. By 16:00 all passengers must be in the Marina
Disembarkment
is done between 8:00 and 9:00 AM also on Saturdays.
13) Do
you consider transportation from the airport to the Nomads base?
Yes, we offer transportation from Puerto Montt's airport to
the ship's embarking in the Naviera.
14) Do
you have some type of laundry service on board?
We do not have laundry service on board the Atmosphere.
15) What
type of electricity there is in the ship?
The electric system of the ship supplies 220 Volts.
16) Is
it necessary to carry passport and visa?
Passport and visa requirements change according to the country
of origin, for which should verify before making your reservation.
You will need your passport for your check in and during your
stay on board the Atmosphere.
